About Dr. Barbieri

As a board certified gynecologist with additional training in integrative medicine, Dr. Barbieri is passionate about providing individualized, patient-centered care to women throughout all of our life phases.  From preventive care to complex gynecology, Dr. Barbieri utilizes a range of conventional medical and surgical as well as integrative options to partner with her patients to help maintain optimal gynecologic health.  She believes that optimal health is not merely the absence of illness, but a state of balance, vitality and both physical and emotional well being.   

Dr. Barbieri has developed a special expertise in helping women navigate the transition of perimenopause and menopause.  She focuses on each patient with a customized approach to nutrition, lifestyle, and use of hormonal (including bioidentical)  and non hormonal methods when appropriate. 

Dr. Barbieri graduated from Colgate University and obtained her medical degree from State University of New York in Syracuse.  She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. She is a Fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a certified menopause practitioner by the North American Menopause Society.   Dr. Barbieri has also completed the fellowship in Integrative Medicine under the direction of Dr. Andrew Weil at the Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona School of Medicine. She continues to be actively involved in medical education at Mount Sinai as an Assistant Clinical Professor, and is a member of Mount Sinai's Center of Excellence for menopause and integrative gynecology. 

Dr. Barbieri enjoys spending time with her family, her dog Remy, hiking, cooking, and gardening.
